Sport England Funding For Bristol VC
|
We are pleased to announce that Bristol VC has been successful in attracting £4,618 in grant funding from Sport England.
Over the past three years the club's membership has seen unprecedented growth, and it is now uniquely placed as the only club in the Greater Bristol area offering Beginners, Local League, Regional League, and National League Volleyball, for both men and women. This funding will help us greatly improve the facilities and equipment available to our experienced team of volunteers to meet the needs of the club's players, as well us enabling us to dramatically increase the club's capacity for future growth.
With funding now secured, over the next weeks Bristol VC will embark on its plan aimed at providing coaching and playing opportunities to young people in the Bristol area, working with schools to provide a path for those with an interest/talent in volleyball to maximise their potential.

Looking For A Club?
We are a friendly club catering for players of all levels and nationalities. We
enjoy playing indoors, outdoors, and at any time and anywhere.
BVC is the only club in Bristol to have achieved a healthy balance between good-standard, competitive volleyball and sociability: the proof that these two can work perfectly well together.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, or an experienced player, BVC caters for all levels, and therefore we are confident that you will find the appropriate training session and/or team. We have six teams that compete in various leagues, from local to national level. We are looking for new
recruits for all of them. Anyone interested in playing for a team should come
along on a Tuesday evening or contact one of the team representatives.
In addition we’re a very sociable bunch, so BVC is also the perfect opportunity to meet new people, and make new friends. After training sessions and matches, we regularly enjoy a well-earned pint or soft drink at the Alma Tavern on Alma Vale Road. And we also organise regular club social events, a Christmas meal, and several volleyball tournaments (both indoors and outdoors) throughout the year. |
